Chapter Captain MKG: so this is the segment that I think needs the most updating.  As I understand it, the White Paper became the DMCA and, more particularly, s1201.  We need to consider how to best update this section - a history of the various iterations from the White Paper to the final legislation? (I think this may be too cumbersome) Or just a simple analysis of what the DMCA did for structuring law to protect certain (good) code.  I would love to use some quotes from the Committee testimony - such as that digital technologies represent a "unique threat" to copyright owners.  What do others think?

Also, in this segment, this is where there is the first mention of the Mark Stefik paper.  Does anyone think there is something more up-to-date/suitable to quote or does this paper lay sufficient groundwork for this through the ages?
